
BIOGRAPHY

Gengxin Li
Graduating as Master of Literature majoring in Screen Production and Cinematography from the University of Auckland, I directed and cinematographed Mrs Mokemoke (2015) which was selected in the New Zealand International Film Festival 2015, the Wairoa Maori Film Festival and the Lauro Corto Imola Festival In Italy.
In addition, I have had the privilege of working and being trained beside some world-renowned camera operators and cinematographers including:

Andy Roelants: Senior Cinematographer, based in New Zealand
I was also the cinematographer for Long Dream (2008), which was officially selected in six international film festivals and screened in Italy and India. I also cinematographed the films Dot (2010) and Perfection (2011).
From 2015 to 2019, I co-wrote and developed a feature film script.
From 2019 to now, I wrote, directed and cinematographed short film: Karma.
